hail to thee, honored brethren and sistren of the great ordeal. 

small new patch out this fine late spring morning, to address several more of the feedback points i was lucky to receive from keen-eyed playtesters this demo day.

MAP

  • added mission briefing screen with objectives and lore.
  • fixed map transport bugs.
  • improved battlefield level design.

AI

  • fixed bug with enemy clipping through player.
  • fixed enemy rootmotion on attack. . . hours and hours of teeth-gnashing frustration turned out to be solved by simply checking a single box in the animation import window ~_~
  • enemies are now much better at spotting each other and player.
  • enemies should be somewhat less likely to run in place.
  • changed enemy spawn positions so they are less jarringly obvious.
  • fixed enemies stuck in walls on well level.
  • combat should feel a bit less janky now i hope.

UI

  • added stat tooltips in main menu. 
  • improvements to inventory tooltips.
  • improved character customization screen.

ART ETC.

  • some improvements to player character models. 
  • some improvements to player character textures (did not have time for Witch yet, sorry)
  • some improvements to environment models and textures
  • small improvements to lighting.

ETC.

  • fixed health flask not working on low health.
  • fixed issues with melee block not absorbing damage.
  • tweaked item drop rates.
  • tweaked damage values.
  • some minor optimizations. battles can involve more active units now

far greater challenges lie ahead. . . far more harrowing straits. there will come a day when i yearn for such simple bugfixes as these. 

as i get swept up in the whirlwind of moving to my new place in the countryside, this shall be my last update for some time. i just wanted to make sure the state of the demo that's online is slightly more playable than the mess that i forced you all to endure on demo day.

endure we must, and endure we do... the ordeal trudges ever onward into the darkness ahead.
