my attempt at making a small pixel art orblike with a party system. a little side project to MARE NOSTRVM; an attempt to make small scoped traditional RPG with limited complexity.

a dying world high-fantasy RPG inspired by elric, elden ring, gene wolfe, bakker, lovecraft and clark ashton smith.   currently very early and rough - there is no point to the game other than kill monsters, get loot, run dungeons and try to get strong enough that you can take over cities.

the planned quest/dialogue system with lots of NPCs and branching narratives is the main feature of the game. **QUEST SYSTEM CURRENTLY DOES NOT WORK AT ALL OTHER THAN CONVERSING WITH NPCS**

"rougelike" in that it uses the lockstep enemy movement system of the original rogue. my recipe here is diablo meets path of achra with a dash of homm and a pinch of dark souls

the overworld features cities and temples, each has a favor score towards the player. you can gain favor through honor, through gold, or through steel.  doing quests for the city builds alliance, as does selling them your excess loot from the dungeons; or you can choose to crush their resistance and make them your vassals.  

rise as a powerful mage-lord and collect the shards before the imminent nuclear apocalypse. oh wait that isn't implemented yet

this game is a side project and just for fun, it's very much a prototype right now but i find it relaxing to work on.

inspired by classic RPG and Orblikes like Stranded Skies, Tower of Kalemonvo, and Plunderground.
